Ajua’s Story: From Captive to Peacemaker

Today, we want to introduce you to Ajua, whose journey exemplifies the incredible impact of our collective efforts.

As a child, Ajua’s life was torn apart when soldiers attacked his village.

"One early morning, while I was at home, a group of soldiers attacked our village, captured me and other children, taking us into the bush.

I became their slave, forced to execute their orders, including unspeakable acts of violence. I was beaten whenever I failed to complete my duties. The trauma from these experiences was overwhelming."

But Ajua’s story didn’t end there.

After escaping, he was welcomed into our program, where his journey of healing began. Through trauma care, discipleship, and the love of community, Ajua found freedom, hope, and faith.

"I am incredibly grateful for their love and guidance and am proud to recently graduate from the university with a degree in English."

His life is a testament that transformation is possible.

Thank you for helping write stories of hope like Ajua’s.
