Less than two years ago, Joshua was rescued from a rebel army in DR Congo. Plagued by illness and nightmares from his time in captivity, the road to healing included major hurdles. Yet, with proper care, even these traumatic experiences and scars can be overcome.

Trauma and Scars Can Be Overcome

Through EI’s programs and skilled caregivers, Joshua is being restored. His recovery and growth have been transformational!

Joshua’s peers have nicknamed him “the little pastor” for his passion to proclaim what Christ has done in his life!

He now leads a bible study with the younger children at EI’s Care Center and started a discipleship group for 30 rescued child soldiers in his village – all on his own!
