“There was so much blood. My heart cried out for him, but I kept it inside. I lost all my good memories and only saw the madness around me.
After 2 years, wounded and not healing… a soldier let him go.
“I wanted to get as far away as possible… everywhere I went, I was in so much pain. At night, I woke up and heard a voice saying, ‘You have to keep on going.’ I looked to see who spoke, but there was no one. Now I know it was God.”
Jonah was discovered by soldiers and later found care with Exile International.

- 1,600+ children healing their wounds — being restored and empowered through art therapy, trauma counseling, discipleship, peace-building, and leadership development
- 678 youth being educated — equipping and preparing each to pursue their dreams and serve as respected leaders in their communities
- 95% successfully completing their educational journey — that’s 3 & 5 times higher than averages in Uganda, 17.5%, and DR Congo, 31.7%
