Will you use your signature to help put an end to child soldiering?
The kidnapping and soldiering of children around the world are major contributing factors to modern-day slavery and human trafficking. There are approximately 250,000 children who have been forced to become child soldiers. All throughout January, we highlighted the work Exile and other nonprofits are doing to end child trafficking. (If you missed it, check it out on our Instagram!)
Exile International’s mission is to fight for freedom for these children and to advocate for them. No child should live in fear – instead, they should be empowered and equipped to become leaders for peace!
It’s time to call on Congress.
Our friends at International Justice Mission (IJM) recently introduced a petition to draw support from State Representatives to keep initiatives such as The Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Office and the Program to End Modern Slavery (PEMS) in Congress’ budget. These two initiatives provide funding for research and NGOs that are doing the work to combat trafficking.
IJM’s petition is a call to action for our representatives to keep the amazing work of TIP and PEMS within their budget so that Congress can continue to combat modern-day slavery. The process to sign this petition is quick and simple – by signing, you will be sending an email to your representatives to call them to action.
Friend, we know we can rely on you – our Exile Family – to stand with us in advocating for survivors (and future survivors!) of human trafficking all over the globe!
