“Uprooted” – docudrama by Christ Presbyterian Academy

About the Film

We are completely speechless at this awe-inspiring film! It features captivating survival stories of war-affected youth that will bring you to the edge of your seat and leave you with renewed hope! Highlighting the 13-year history of Exile’s redemptive work in Congo and Uganda, you’ll be inspired by these child survivors of war becoming leaders for peace!

As the film was created, students’ eyes were opened — sitting face-to-face with the reality of child survivors of war living in active war zones, how Exile is addressing the problem of child trafficking, and how anyone can step into this story of redemption.

A night of community – and popcorn!

Recently, Exile Int’l had the immense honor of hosting members of the Nashville community for the premiere screening of Uprooted at Otter Creek Church. Individuals, couples, and families showed up excited to participate in a night of (socially distanced) community and popcorn!

Following the screening of Uprooted, attendees stayed for a panel discussion where members of CPA Media Studio and Exile’s co-CEOs (Bethany and Matthew Williams) answered questions on the making of the docudrama, unexpected situations faced, and what impacted them the most in the creation of this film.

Many stayed after the screening to learn more about Exile and how they can get involved in bringing restoration to child survivors of war!

Whether you’re a longtime supporter of Exile’s mission or you are new to the family — we think this docudrama is one that will inspire you in new and engaging ways!
