Last year, Heart 4 Africa attendees made it possible to provide care for more children in 2017!
Not just “care” — but better care than ever before! Heart 4 Africa also provided for the hiring and training of the additional counselors and social workers needed to elevate the level of care offered to each child and increase each child’s access to 1-on-1 counseling necessary to heal the wounds of trauma.
No longer constrained by the traumas of their past — these young men and women are becoming the leaders who will heal and transform communities for Christ!
Restored & Empowered to Thrive!
Through EI programs — graduates have been empowered to become leaders ! Graduates are becoming counselors, nurses, engineers and community leaders. Some even replicating the care programs that transformed their lives. They are paying it forward!

Highlights from 2017
- 18 Care Programs in Uganda and DR Congo
- 1,500+ children healing their wounds — being restored and empowered through art therapy, trauma counseling, discipleship, peace-building, and leadership development
- 678 youth in school — each being equipped and prepared to pursue their dreams and serve as respected leaders in their communities
- 30 program graduates attending university and volunteering at EI care programs — mentoring the next generation!
