Finding Hope After War
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much more.” – Helen Keller
For almost two decades, Kony’s fighters abducted more than 60,000 children, killed tens of thousands of civilians, and caused the displacement of more than two million people in northern Uganda.
War does not get the last word.
Exile International is restoring and empowering survivors of the LRA in northern Uganda. Through care programs, led by local counselors and social workers, and education programs — victims are becoming survivors. Survivors are becoming thrivers!
Child survivors are recovering from chronic trauma & finding hope for their future.
Utilizing a three-tier, curricula-based model of: (1) art focused trauma care, (2) peace-building and conflict resolution, and (3) leadership development, EI empowers child survivors of war to become leaders who will transform communities for Christ.
